Born 1984, Shanghai. Yijing is an architectural designer who attempts balance in the crosslight of city, architecture, exhibition, event and performance. Trained institutionally as an architect at the School of Architecture, Victoria University of Wellington between 2002-2007, Yijing was consistently drawn to spatial projects with temporal, ephemeral and theatrical qualities. In 2009, Yijing was the exhibition designer at Shao Foundation in Beijing, and the exhibition coordinator, assistant to chief curator for the 2009 Shenzhen & Hong Kong Bi-city Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture. Before travelling to China in late 2008, she worked as an architectural graduate at Athfield Architects in Wellington. Yijing is now a member of the collective Dry Dairy, working and living in Auckland, New Zealand.
